As you may have seen the viral video of a taxi that exploded at Buona vista, a fire fighter from the Singapore Civil Defence Force (SCDF) was seen injured in the explosion.
The photo above is the heroic fire fighter that was injured this afternoon. After the taxi exploded, he retreated and removed his helmet, gloves and threw it on the floor. His gear must have been scorching hot.
Minutes later, another SCDF fire bike arrived to assist further.

Thank you for your kind words and concerns for the injured firefighter.
Each day, SCDF Emergency Responders, like him, brave countless challenges in the line of duty to protect and save lives and property.
The injured firefighter who sustained minor burns had just been discharged from hospital and is recuperating.
We wish him a speedy recovery.
