Steven Miller, one of President Donald Trump’s senior policy adviser, recently humiliated CNN’s Jim Acosta after he asked a ridiculous question about Trump’s green card policy (pictured above).
President Donald Trump just announced his administration’s new immigration plan, which will focus on accepting people who speak English and can support themselves. CNN’s Jim Acosta recently confronted Steven Miller, President Donald Trump’s senior policy adviser, about this new plan and asked if the US will only accept people from the Great Britain and Australia since they’ll only be accepting people who speak English. Miller replied by rightly humiliating Acosta for asking such a ridiculous question.
Specifically, during a White House Press Briefings earlier this week, Acosta asked Miller, “this whole notion that they have to learn English before they get to the United States — are we just going to bring in people from Great Britain and Australia?” By asking this, Acosta seemed to be suggesting that Great Britain and Australia are the only other countries where people speak English, which is completely absurd.

Fortunately, Miller made sure to point out just how ignorant Acosta’s question was. “I can honestly say: I am shocked at your statement that you think only people from Great Britain and Australia would know English. It reveals your cosmopolitan bias to a shocking degree — this is an amazing moment,” he replied, noting, “that you think only people from Great Britain or Australia would speak English is so insulting to millions of hardworking immigrants who speak English from all over the world.”
Miller then asked, “Jim, have you honestly never met an immigrant from another country from another country who speaks English outside of Great Britain and Australia? Is that your personal experience?”
In response, Acosta said, “of course there are [English-speaking] people who come into the country from other parts of the world.” He then tried to change the subject by suggesting that the policy was racist, stating, “it sounds like you’re trying to engineer the racial and ethnic flow of people into this country.”

Again, Miller completely bashed Acosta for saying something so ludicrous. “That’s one of the most outrageous, insulting, ignorant, and foolish things you’ve ever said. The notion that you think that this is a racist bill is so wrong and so insulting,” he retorted.
“We want to help…unemployed workers of all backgrounds get jobs. And insinuations like [you] made, trying to ascribe nefarious motives to a ‘compassion immigration measure,’ designed to help newcomers and current arrivals alike, is wrong,” continued Miller, adding, “this is a positive, optimist proposal that says, ‘10 years, 20 years, 30 years from now, we want to have an immigration system that takes care of the people who are coming here and the people who are already living here by having standards, by having a real clear requirement that you be able to support yourself financially, [and] by making sure that employers can pay a living wage. That’s the right policy for our country, and it’s the President’s commitment to taking care of American workers.”
During the same interview, Miller also bashed Acosta for implying that Trump’s border wall has something to do with green card policy. Specifically, while discussing legal immigration, Miller brought up the fact that it has ebbed and flowed throughout our country’s history. This means that at some points in the past, there were a lot of people migrating to our country, and at other points, there were relatively few.
Acosta interjected by claiming immigration is currently at a historic low and used this fact to suggest that we don’t need a border wall, as if a border wall has anything to do with legal immigration, which was something Miller pointed out. “You don’t actually think the wall affects green card policy?” he asked Acosta. “You couldn’t possibly believe that could you?…Do you at CNN really not know the difference between green card policy and illegal immigration?” he added.

Hopefully, Miller continues to humiliate journalists attempting to undermine Trump’s presidency. Doing so will likely get the press to start being more honest.
