The House voted unanimously to increase taxpayer funding of their home and office security.
When lawmakers have the opportunity to pass legislation that influences their own personal safety, wealth, or healthcare, there’s never any delays. Last week, House members unanimously voted to take taxpayer funds and use it to beef up security at their personal homes.
The non-binding move was introduced by Representative Mia Love and provides money for lawmakers to add security systems, in addition to the increase they recently approved concerning district office security.
There’s no doubt that congressional members need better security. The liberal elites running Washington, D.C. have established some of the most stringent gun laws in the nation. As a result, protecting life and liberty in the country’s capitol is difficult.
Only criminals freely brandish firearms in D.C. Although the police are also armed, the number of law enforcement personnel available to stop crime is significantly lower than the number of people who are intent on fulfilling their criminal urges.
The legislation was, in part, precipitated by the shooting attack of Steve Scalise and other GOP congressional members at a baseball practice a couple months ago. Had the assault been on democrats, it’s likely that the major news networks would still be mentioning it every day.

LexisNexis, which archives a large number of U.S. and world newspapers stories, provides clear proof of the liberal bias. According to coverage, the Gabby Giffords’ attack was still being reported weeks after the incident.
News networks mentioned it two times more than the amount of the GOP attack which was intended to kill as many republicans as possible. Fortunately, the Bernie Sanders supporter was unaware of Scalise’s capitol guard that day, or he could have murdered them all.
It was a true miracle that Scalise was even present on the near-fatal day. Four people were wounded when the deranged liberal opened fire on unarmed members of congress. Scalise was struck in the hip and dragged himself out of the outfield toward cover. The heroic efforts of the two capital police members who returned fire were recently honored by President Trump.
However, the murderous rage of leftist supporters is encouraged and fanned by Hollywood elitists who show the brutal slaying of the commander in chief and the liberal news media who champion rioters and malcontents. So, there’s really no indication that the violence will stop. Hopefully, it can be controlled.
There are never any disagreements or delays when congress is voting for more money for its members.
The bullet caused severe damage, injuring bones and internal organs in the Louisiana congressman. Scalise has undergone several surgeries and was in critical condition for weeks.
Liberals seem to perpetrate a large majority of the mass shootings that have occurred. Just a few of the many include, Nidal Hasan, the Ft Hood Shooter. He was a registered democrat Muslim. Aaron Alexis, the Navy Yard shooter was a liberal Obama voter. Seung-Hui Cho, the Virginia Tech shooter actually wrote hate mail to President Bush and his staff. He was also a registered democrat.
James Holmes, the so-called “Dark Knight” who killed people in Colorado was a registered democrat and staff worker on the Obama campaign. He also hated Christians. Amy Bishop, the rabid leftist who killed her colleagues in Alabama was also an Obama supporter.
Steve Scalise and three other people were injured when a leftist opened fire at the congressional baseball practice.
Andrew J. Stack, the man who flew a plane into an IRS building in Texas was a leftist democrat. Bill Ayers, Lee Harvey Oswald, and John Wilkes Booth were all democrats who hated republicans, and there are many others on the list.
However, even the most rabid liberals in congress recognize the threat. It is unfortunate that Americans live in an era where hate is proclaimed as a protest, and physical violence towards lawmakers is an accepted part of life. Political ideology has become the impetus for leftist terrorism.
The bill to allocate more taxpayer money for congressional security is sadly necessary. The funds are supposed to be constrained by security systems only, and not actual improvements to the property. Given the amount of democrat cheating that occurs, it’s logical to assume that eventually some money will be used for safety additions that stretch the conditions outlined.
Love cited threats she’d received from wacko liberals and the measure passed without dissent. The move seems to indicate that democrats as well as republicans know that alt-left extremists present a real danger to personal safety.
The MedStar Washington Hospital Center has announced that Scalise was released last week and now performing intensive inpatient rehabilitation. Reports say that he is in good spirits.
The voice vote means that congress members will have additional funds to provide extra security at their homes. Because of the violent tendencies of unhinged leftists, the move is a necessary one. Hopefully, elected officials can now do their job repealing Obamacare and stop worrying about a leftist with a gun.
