GIORDANO'S TAKE ON A NORMAL S'POREAN FAMILY GETS RIPPED TO SHREDS

Netizens have submitted several complaints about an advertisement by clothes retailer Giordano, which slapped 2 Caucasian adults, 1 Caucasian boy and a little Chinese girl together in a photo in an attempt to cash in on the National Day festivities... netizens however picked up very quickly on what was wrong with the whole picture and did not spare the rod.

Netizens posted their objections on Giordano's Facebook, criticizing the clothing chain for its poor choice of models to celebrate Singapore's National Day and tearing into the chain's poorly designed clothing lines in general. Many took offence that the "Singapore family" in the photo looked nothing like a local Singapore family and slammed the ad for not even trying to look representative or even multiracial.

Although some pointed out that Caucasians do live among Singaporeans and are a significant community, netizens were not appeased. Aside from the bad choice of models, netizens revealed that the ad was just simply a rip off from a non-national day related ad.
