As reported by the Daily Caller, Democratic Oregon Senator Ron Wyden refused to say anything about an elderly woman in his state who was brutally raped by an illegal immigrant that was previously deported several times.

Believe it or not, the Democratic senator said he’ll have more to say about that issue in another moment because it was time to focus on taxes. The most incredible detail was the Wyden made these remarks just before veered off to discuss about the Russia investigation.
As for Martinez, American taxpayers may have to end up paying for his defense, which clearly represents a disgusting situation.
Given this terrible incident, several experts and politicians have blamed Portland’s reckless sanctuary city policy. Some of these figures were Oregon’s top Republican officials, including the state GOP chairman Bill Currier, who recently told that the illegal alien Sergio Martinez should not have been in the country a week ago when he attacked the women. Martinez was last detained in December but promptly released.
According to Currier, Martinez was given preferential treatment and he took advantage of it to commit an unspeakable act against two innocent women. Moreover, he explained that governor of Oregon and the mayor of Portland Ted Wheeler have essentially created a protected class for illegal immigrants that commit serious crimes.

As reported by news outlets, the 31-year-old Martinez had a detainer placed on him as a “serious” immigration violator, but immigration authorities in December were not notified about his case. Eventually, the Multnomah County officials released him back into the community.
The criminal is now being held without bail on charges of sexual abuse, robbery and kidnapping. He was reportedly told Portland Police he is a meth addict. Authorities revealed he has been homeless in the state for the past year.
As everyone knows, Portland has become a safe haven for illegal aliens, no matter how many times they have been deported from the country. The city, Multnomah and even the state legislature have passed law declaring themselves a sanctuary for people that comes to America illegally. The county, the city and the state legislature are run by Democrats.
Just a month after he got released, Multnomah County Sheriff Mike Reese launched an investigation into one of his own deputies for having contact with ICE before having a pre-trial meeting with an illegal alien.
Immigration and Customs Enforcement said he has been deported 13 times since 2008, and has a huge criminal record in three states, with charges including felony, battery, burglary, and felony illegal re-entry after removal.
Apparently, Martinez was in the Multnomah County Jail back in December and ICE asked the sheriff’s department to notify them when he got released. However, the county decided to ignore the request, as they do for all immigration detainers.
Just a month after he got released, Multnomah County Sheriff Mike Reese launched an investigation into one of his own deputies for having contact with ICE before having a pre-trial meeting with an illegal alien. Earlier this year, Reese wrote a letter to the community saying that his office does not hold people in county jail on ICE detainers or conduct any kind of immigration enforcement actions.

Around the same time, a judge was accused of letting an illegal alien slip out of her courtroom through the employee exit in order to escape ICE agents out in the hallway. The judge was later found to have done anything wrong.
As for Martinez, American taxpayers may have to end up paying for his defense, which clearly represents a disgusting situation considering not only what he did, but also the fact that this is the unjustified reality of a progressive policy toward illegal immigration. If this was not enough, it is known that the Portland City Council awarded $50,000 to launch a project which main goal is to help immigrants fight deportation and other legal issues.
Regarding his unspeakable crime, authorities explained that Martinez entered the woman´s house through an open window, used socks and scarves to blindfold her, then tied her up, gagged her and sexually assaulted her. Apparently, Martinez also slammed her head into the wood floor.
The 65-year-old woman told authorities that the illegal alien left with her cellphone, credit cards, keys, and even stole her car. She was able to reach a neighbor´s home to call 911 and explain what just happened.
