A 48-year-old Malaysian man has pleaded guilty to insulting the modesty of a woman, namely his own biological daughter, by filming her in the toilet.
Pervert Dad and his 21-year-old daughter were living in the same rented room of a flat in Toh Yi Drive when in July last year, he tried to record her bathing by tying a black mobile phone to a pipe below the toilet basin.
The daughter was showering when she spotted the phone.
Checking it, she found that it was in video-recording mode, and when she played back the recording she saw that it had captured her naked body as she was bathing.
She then checked the other videos in the phone and they captured her father’s face and the process of him adjusting the angle of the camera.
Pervert Dad, when confronted, admitted that he had been recording her naked in the shower for the past 2 weeks.
The daughter deleted all the videos in the phone and returned it to him, then left the flat to stay with a colleague.
Pervert Dad admitted that he recorded the videos for personal viewing.
He said that he had about 20 other similar clips of his daughter bathing in his phone but, horror upon horrors, he misplaced the phone.
On 5 April this year, Pervert Dad was arrested at about 3.10am after he tried to commit suicide.
He has since been jailed for 4 months for insulting his daughter’s modesty.
