Passenger refused to pay the fare which was approximately $15. Pick up at Golden Mile Complex and dropped him off at 27 Jalan Chermat.
The passenger is a stall owner along Lor Lew Lian. He claimed he was proud of being an ex-convict. Now he is rich and capable and owns a multi-million dollar property and is 'above the law'.
He tapped the taxi uncle hand and said that was the payment. The he shouted 'I don’t want to pay, CALL THE POLICE!'"
The passenger went berserk and peeled the ID tag off the windshield, which he claimed to use it for ‘evidence’."
The taxi driver approached two passers-by for assistance and they also told the passenger to return the ID Tag and to just pay the fare.
The driver said he would forget about the whole incident as soon as he received the fare and his tag back.
Only when two policeman showed up did the passenger agree to pay his fare.
But the drama did not end.
He purposefully keyed in the wrong PIN repeatedly and blame it on the card-reader. He then took out another card and proceeded with the payment, this time round, successfully on the first attempt.
In the end, the payment went through and he smirked and told the taxi driver, in front of the police officers, he did it on purpose to waste his working time.
