Given the almost complete dominance of the PAP in both parliament and at the voting booth, It's strange to see how fractured opposition parties are with there being at least 3 major parties that only form electoral alliances to prevent them from losing their deposit.
What are the major differences between the WP, SDP, SPP, SingFirst etc ?
Why hasn't the PAP split into more parties in recent history?
Why hasn't the opposition consolidated as duverger's law suggests in hyper FPTP system like Singapore ?
