Actor Shrey Bhargava has been called in for questioning by the police for Facebook post on his Ah Boys To Men 4 acting audition after netizens lodged police reports against him.
He told The Online Citizen reporters, "Yes, I was called by the (police) for questioning. I was informed there that there were police reports made. I was not informed for what or by whom, that was kept confidential."
He added that the investigation officer was friendly and understood his intention was not to cause racial tension but to have a productive discussion about his discrimination experience. However, he also informed him to be careful of what he posted online as people might misunderstand his intentions.
He said of the police, "It was determined that my intentions were not in anyway to incite racial tension or racial violence."
He added that the investigation officer was concerned about his safety after he show the officer messages and abusive comments and racist remarks that were sent to him. He said he would not file charges against the netizens who abused him, even though he could, because he prefers forgiveness over hate.
